So here are the pictures of my new altar set-up.
Somewhat inspired by the Spiritual Essentials Challenge, I decided it was time to pare down my altar.
I really do love my stuff, but I wanted to try and keep something simple where I didn’t have to worry one entity on my altar was over-shadowing the others by accident. So, I went to Dollarama and bought 4 bamboo cutting boards. This limits the space I have for each being on my altar, and keeps things organized. The libation cups were moved to the centre, and each now has a glass bowl for offerings.
Aphrodite has fragrant rose petals and cowrie shells (because they’re shells that look like…well…y’know).
Dionysus has a magpie feather, an acorn, and jasmine green tea.
Hekate has cypress and eucalyptus, as well as a key and my pentacle charm.
And, the Beloved Dead have an antique metal jack (a gift from Juniper), a bone skull necklace, and lavender buds.
Above the altar I have quotes relating to each respectively; Aphrodite, Dionysus, Hekate, the Beloved Dead, and a poem for myself. You can check out the quotes I used here.
